What's New in Sage 50 Accounting 2026

Sage 50 2026 Accounting Software (US Edition) was released on October 17, 2023.

This release is a subscription product that will ensure customers are always on current software and technical support with Sage is included with your purchase.

Sage HR integration with Sage 50 (available to cloud-connected payroll subscribers)

After you install 2026.0, you can connect your business to Sage HR which includes:

• Employee record sync: Sync your employee records with Sage HR so employees can self-serve and manage their information from anywhere.
• Easy-to-download: Save time from HR administrative work and empower your employees to access and download their paystubs.
• Mobile App: Encourage your employees to use the mobile app for easy access from anywhere while they’re on the go.

Maintenance and Security Updates

• Sage 50 2026 is no longer compatible with Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 Standard, and Windows Server 2012 R2.
  
• If you are still on a perpetual license, 2026 is the last perpetual license upgrade. Going forward a subscription license will be the only option.
  
  
• Sage 50 2024 will become obsolete (unsupported) in 2026.

If you are on an older version (Sage 2020.1 or older) your product will not activate. If you need to access your accounting data you will need to upgrade to Sage 50 2026.
